The guys over at The Unofficial Apple Weblog has pointed out Fmenu, an open source program that allows the user to hook their iPhoto albums into their Facebook social network albums. Here, users can select photos and export items directly to their account.
FMenu, which resides in the menu bar by the clock when installed, can also alert the user as to the follow Facebook account changes:
-A friend updates his profile
-A friend changes his status
-A friend writes a new note
-Someone writes on your wall
-You have new messages
-You have new pokes
-You have new friend requests
-You have new photo comments
The software is a free 270 kilobyte download (courtesy of SourceForge) and is a universal binary capable of running at native speeds on both PowerPC and Intel-based hardware. Fmenu requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and the Growl notification program to already be installed to run.
Give it a try and if you have opinions on it either way, let us know.
