StopTheMadness Pro 10.0 released, adds significant changes to popular web browser extension

One of the coolest and most useful web browser extensions just got a nifty update, and it’s worth checking out.

Jeffrey Johnson’s StopTheMadness Pro just hit version 10.0 and is currently available in the App Store. The update adds a number of fixes and improvements, including the following:

  • There’s a new keyboard option “Protect arrow keys” on macOS and iPad that stops websites from hijacking the arrow keys. This option is especially useful when you’re scrolling web pages with the arrow keys.
  • By popular demand, dark and tinted app icons have been added for iOS 18. Thanks once again to designer Matthew Skiles for the new icons!

StopTheMadness Pro helps prevent annoying web browser behavior such as user tracking, keyboard features being blocked, video content automatically playing, etc. Version 10 retails for $14.99 with the Mac version requiring macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later to install and run while the iPhone and iPad versions require iOS 16.0 or later or iPadOS 16.0 or later to install and run, respectively.

If you’ve had a chance to try StopTheMadness Pro 10, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
