The first wave of AI features includes language tools that will enable AI to analyze your writing and offer revisions in various writing styles, or simply proofread for grammar and spelling. There are also new summary features in Mail, Safari, and Messages.
The beta will offer access to an improved version of Siri, although some of its most advanced features, such as on-screen awareness, cross-app actions, personal context awareness, and ChatGPT integration, won’t debut until later.
Expected later this year in the iOS 18.2 update are image tools that enable creating original images via a simple typed description.
Vision Pro support is said to be in the works, although the platform is not expected to be supported by any Apple Watch or HomePod devices at launch.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
