If you’re hankering for a next-gen Mac Studio or Mac Pro desktop, you may have to wait until 2025 to get your hands on one.
Per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s “Power On” newsletter, the forthcoming Apple desktops will be delayed until the middle of 2025.
Gurman cited that Apple’s current schedule does not include the launch of new Mac Studio and Mac Pro units until mid-2025. Apple last updated the Mac Studio and Mac Pro with M2-series chips at WWDC in 2023, meaning that they could go around 24 months without an update, even though the iPad Pro now contains the M4 chip.
It’s thought that all other Macs, except for the MacBook Air, should be available with M4-series chips by the end of 2024. Gurman stated that he does not anticipate any new models being unveiled at WWDC in June, making 2022 and 2023 exceptions for recent mid-year Mac releases.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
