iPhone Health Records begin to come online at assorted Canadian, U.K. medical institutions

This could come in handy.

On Wednesday, Apple announced that in addition to over 500 institutions in the U.S. supporting storing data in the Health Records section of the iOS Health app, customers in Canada and the U.K. can also use this feature.

iPhone Health Records are now storing in the following UK and Canadian locations:

  • Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Oxford, UK
  • Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – Milton Keynes, UK
  • Women’s College Hospital – Toronto, Ontario
  • St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton – Hamilton, Ontario
  • Mackenzie Health – Richmond Hill, Ontario

Additional medical institutions will be added in the future, and Apple has noted that personal health records are securely encrypted on device using your passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
