Apple on Tuesday updated its Apple Research app to include updates for its Apple Hearing Study and its Apple Heart & Movement Study.
The update features a new “Speech in Noise” test that helps with the Apple Hearing study, the test having been design to help researchers understand the user’s hearing ability under varying circumstances, such as when background noise is present.
The update also includes a new survey within the Apple Heart and Movement study that helps researchers understand the impact of COVID-19 on everyday life.
For the Apple Heart & Movement Study, there’s a new survey available that will help researchers understand the impact of COVID-19 on daily life.
Apple first launched the Apple Research app in November 2019 with the purpose of allowing iPhone users to participate in and contribute to medical research.
The app is available for free and requires iOS 13.2 or later and watchOS 6.2 or later to install and run.
If you’ve tried the new version of the app and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
