Apple’s Monday Update-O-Rama continued with the release of iOS 12.4.1, tvOS 12.4.1, and watchOS 5.3.1.
The iOS 12.4.1 update includes a fixed for a vulnerability that allowed hackers to create a jailbreak around the iOS 12.4 operating system.
Per the security support document, Apple had addressed the vulnerability in iOS 12.4, but accidentally unpatched it in its iOS 12.4 update.
The notes also cite “important security and stability updates” and is recommended for all users
The tvOS 12.4.1 and watchOS 5.3.1 updates are said to be minor in scale and focus on bug fixes and other under-the-hood performance improvements rather than outward-facing features.
tvOS 12.4.1, watchOS 5.3.1, and the new version of macOS 10.14.6 may be some of the last updates that we see before Apple releases new tvOS 13, watchOS 6, and macOS 10.15 Catalina software this fall.
If you’ve tried the updates and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
