Per the leak-based rumor mill, it looks like Apple may transition away from its traditional L-shaped logic board design for the iPhone XI to a standard, regular logic board.
The rumor emanated from images of the iPhone XI’s logic board that surfaced recently.
The iPhone X/XS had a stacked L-shaped logic board which pushed the battery to also be L-shaped. With the iPhone XI Apple will move to a rectangular logic board and a large rectangular battery to the side of it.
It’s also expected that the iPhone IX and XI Max will feature larger batteries due to the new logic board design.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
