Beginning today Vonage will upgrade all of their Local Unlimited customers to Premium Unlimited. In addition, Vonage is dropping all customer’s who are on the Premium Plan’s prices automatically by $5. Vonage is simplifying its calling plans now by only offering 2 plans- a $15 plan and a $25 plan.
Through some recently completed market research and trend analysis, Vonage came to the conclusion that “local unlimited” really had no meaning for customers and in the world of IP and with the “buckets of minutes” the industry is moving away from distinguishing one kind of minute from another. In short, Vonage’s unlimited plan, which is the most popular, is now $25 and all people who were on either on the $25 or $30 plans will automatically get the upgrade to the unlimited for $25. This is really a package upgrade and simplification story, why, because Vonage has listened to its customers and is responding to the marketplace need for simpler plans. The new rate plan is only available to Vonage US customers.
