You can now access the news a bit easier through your iOS device or Apple TV.
Apple has updated the prominent Watch Now section of the TV app to feature live news channels. iOS device users with iOS 11.2.5 and Apple TV users with tvOS 11.2.5 will see the change immediately.
From the main screen, click the “Watch Now” tab, then screen down past the “Up Next” section to access the “What to Watch” recommendations. This list is dynamic, but it currently shows a row of TV shows and movies, then a PyeongChang 2018 row for Winter Olympics coverage. Below that is the new News row. Multiple channels are represented, with a red “Live” banner on the thumbnail image.
You’ll have had to installed the network news app of your choice to watch the desired live news feed.
Upon tapping on the live feed, you’ll then be taken to the app to play it, or to be prompted to install the app if it has yet to be downloaded.
If you’ve tried the new live news feature and have any feedback to offer, please let us know what you think in the comments section.
