I think there is a bug in Safari when typing in www.ebay.com
Really. It is not a joke, I tried it on two machines. Try it out for yourself.
Usually Safari will auto-complete (finish typing) an address for you if you have been there before or if is in a bookmark. Except www.ebay.com
I know the originator of eBay was an Apple employee at one time. (Correct: eBay chairman Pierre Omidyar was a developer for Claris, a subsidiary of Apple.)
Its just odd that Safari won’t work with that particular address.
What’s weird:
It will auto-complete ebay.com (without the “www.”)
It will also auto-complete *any* other “www.” domain name…
