A deal on CompUSA’s Web site would indicate that the new PowerBooks can’t be too far off. The PowerBook G4 667MHz (256MB/30GB/Combo) which was originally US$2499 is down to US$1499 today. Updated: CompUSA is sold out of this PowerBook.
I contacted Apple Care yesterday to have them send me two new rubber feet for my 12-inch PowerBook. Rubber feet are covered by warranty but you must send it to Apple and they will replace the entire botton of the unit. The charge is US$700 to replace two 10 cent rubber feet. Sound familiar?
